His name is Don Witter Jr., and he is NYlon Review’s Member of the Month. Anyone who has come to one of our regular NYCCGS meetings on first Thursdays has seen a man, usually sitting in the front row, writing down the events of the evening in his notebook with vigorous intensity. But it’s not just Society events- you’ll find him at just about every guitar shindig around town. This guy knows everyone, from Gene Bertoncini to Ben Verdery. Later, Don publishes his detailed observations on newsgroups and urges his readers to attend more events.
