Event Calendar June 04, 2009 NYCCGS Member Event - The Guitar in Gotham: An Evolving Presence Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 7:00 pm Manhattan Theatre Club Creative Center, Studio 2 (on the 8th Floor) Three top New York guitarists — Frederic Hand, Benjamin Verdery, and Dennis Koster — discuss the city's classical guitar scene and how it has changed over the years, focusing on the people, places, and events that have shaped it. Moderated by the NYCCGS's John Lehmann-Haupt, who has written on the guitar for The New York Times, Acoustic Guitar, and several other publications. The presentation will be followed by open playing time. Bring your guitar, or just come and listen. Free and open to all NYCCGS members and first-time guests. | ||||||
